The Central Khartoum Court Delay the Trail of Sudanese

The Darfur Democratic Forum (DDF) in its refusal of the Sudanese security forces enforced dealing with the demonstrators of women in Solidarity with the Journalist “Lubna Ahmed Hussein” during the trial yesterday, the National Criminal Court which placed in Central Khartoum is delayed the trail to 7 September 2009, the protesters were attacked by the policemen, although the demonstration was made very peacefully,
they demanded the abolition of all laws that call for discrimination against women and freedoms in particular the freedom of expression, and the siege amid intense security for the Court and in the presence of media and scale.
The coalition of Sudanese women’s organizations for the protection of the rights of Sudanese women, consisting of the initiative (not to oppress women) had been invited to the demonstration by dozens of women gathered in a Court in Khartoum in supporting the Sudanese Journalist Lubna Hussein, which she is facing 40 lashes on charges of harassment to wear the clothes, the general feeling is the case, which opened the door for in law applied by the Sudanese authorities on departures from the public morals and the convergence of the objections of a broad application, especially to the detriment of the Sudanese women.
The demonstrators raised banners reading “No return to the dark times” and shouting slogans against the laws prohibiting the wearing of clothes that are immodest, before the arrival of riot police armed with batons to clear the streets of protesters…
Suddenly the demonstrators were surprised when a number of militants formed their stance in front of the Court raising against the protesters who support Ms. Lubna,  they standing behind the Court and supporting the Court for flogging of the Journalist and calling the police to attack and to press the protestors.
Mentioned that the Journalist Lubna Hussein has been referred to trial on charges of wearing clothes, in the opinion of the police based on the implementation of the Public Order Act in the clothes (Lubna) a danger to society and its values!! The penalty for this offense is 40 lashes and the skin in public, in accordance with the Article (152) of the Sudanese Criminal Act of 1991 charged with “wear the general feeling of harassment,” which was considered one of the press in retaliation for her opposition to the Sudanese regime and militant Islamists in Sudan.
The DDF is called the Sudanese Authorities to give the citizens their rights for peaceful demonstrations and to stop repressive practice and the Abuse of demonstrators and to allow freedom of opinion and expression.
