Duwaim –17 November: The Darfurian students at the University of Bakht El Rudha stroke and organised a sit-in yesterday. This is in protest as they said against being targeted and the narrowing of the students region’s in the town of Duwaim.
The students called the university administration to respond to their demands. This is to put an end to the targeting of the students of Darfur. An other demand is the restriction of the provocation and the reluctance of the Riksha – motorcycle – owners against students of Darfur and use harsh words against them.
Dr. Mohadin Al Jaali, representative of the Deanship of students in the university’s administration said he met with the director of the police. The director said that legal action had been taken on the fire, which broke the residence of students of Darfur. He stressed that the chief of police kept the students in custody and they are only to be released on bail. The administration reached a final agreement with the orgazanization and they will present the complaints to the security committee.
