Khartoum, June 3 (SUNA) – The special rapporteur for human rights in Sudan has got informed on laws relating to human rights which were approved by the National Assembly lately. This came during her meeting Wednesday with members of the Human Rights Committee at the National Assembly. Members of the committee also acquainted Sima Samar with the new developments in Darfur issue, especially with regard to the recommendations of the Initiative of the People of Sudan and the negotiations in Doha. The committee members called for support to the peace process in Sudan, and stressed that any sanctions against Sudan will not serve the peace process in Sudan. MO/MO
