Sissi wants Chadian-Sudanese forces to replace UNAMID
The chairman of the Darfur Regional Authority asked for Chadian-Sudanese forces to replace the joint UN/AU Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) forces to maintain security in the region.
The UN should take action to begin reducing the mission and change their priorities towards recovery, that is start to wind down activity said Tijani Sissi to the Sudanese channel El Sharooq.
He said the Chadian-Sudanese forces could take a major role in maintaining stability at the border in Darfur.
