This article comes against the backdrop of publication in theSpiegel online that in an effort to help keep refugees from Africa at bay, the EU is planning to deliver personal registration equipment to Sudan, where the International Criminal Court (ICC) has indicted its president is wanted on war crimes charges. The report indicated that Germany spear leading the way for the implementation of the plan. Moreover, the report added stating that SudanAfrica’s third largest country an important refugee route runs through it,. Migrants from Eritrea, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic all seek to make their way via Khartoum to Libya, where they catch boats to Europe. The United Nations says that there are currently 4 million people in flight in the area.http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/eu-to-work-with-despot-in-sudan-to-keep-refugees-out-a-1092328.html
The EU financial and logistics incentives for Sudan and new EU action plan for the Horn of Africa provides the first concrete outlines: For three years,€40 million ($45 million) is to be paid out to eight African countries from the Emergency Trust Fund, including Sudan. Furthermore, the publication added that – Minutes from the March 23 meetings and additional classified documents obtained by SPIEGEL and the German public television station ARD show “Report Mainz” show that the focus of the proje

ct is border protection. To that end, equipment is to be provided to the countries in question.http://www.spiegel.de/spiegel/

The authors of the report, Jürgen Dahlkamp and Maximilian Popp said:
“The plan is also controversial within the EU. The “risks” listed in the action plan includes the fact that equipment financed by the Emergency Trust Fund could be abused by repressive regimes and used in the oppression of the civilian population. A general with Sudan’s Interior Ministry told SPIEGEL and ARD that technology would not just be used to register refugees, but also all Sudanese. The regime’s goal appears to be the absolute surveillance of its people.”
The leaked report indicated that ambassadors of the 28 European Union member states had agreed to secrecy. “Under no circumstances” should the public learn what was said at the talks that took place on March 23rd, 2016, the European Commission warned during the meeting of the Permanent Representatives Committee. A staff member of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini even warned that Europe’s reputation could be at stake.
Following the foregoing news leak, the European Union (EU) must feel the embarrassment and the shame in its cooperation with the National Congress Party (NCP) regime in Sudan that kills own people in Darfur with chemical weapons.
Trojan horse
The attempt of the EU’s recent rapprochement with the (NCP) regime led by the genocidal criminal Omar Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir to curb and prevent the influx of migrants and refugees from the Horn of African countries to the shores of Europe through Libya in exchange for a few million dollars. It seems that EU member states took that disastrous easy way out option without taking into account Omer al-Bashir’s predicament of arrest warrant awaits him. Al-Bashir has been under indictment by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for atrocities the people of Sudan in the Darfur region suffered under his command. The action of the (EU) is a betrayal of the sanctity lives of the victims and a denial of the rights of the survivors and a Greatest Trojan Horse of all times. And the worse is that the Sudan Government led by the despot al-Bashir has been recently implicated red handed and his hands blood stained with the blood of victims caused by exposure to chemical weapons in the Jebel Marra locality of the Darfur region. While the EU converging and providing financial incentives for the ruling regime of the Party National Congress (NCP), al-Bashir poised for finishing his task off bywaging chemical warfare against the civilian population of Sudan in Darfur in his quest to the last stage of genocide and complete annihilation of human lives.
It is high time for the EU reviewing the embarrassing plan and reconsider calling off any rapprochement with the government of Omar al-Bashir. Implementation of that plan, would represent participation in the crimes committed in Darfur under the hearing and the sight of the international community. Sadly, the international community seems to have turned a blind eye to the issue of Darfur and keeping it behind the screen of the intersecting interests with the dictatorial regimes in Africa and beyond.
The European Union rapprochement with Bashir’s regime gives a clear indication to continue encouraging genocide and ethnic cleansing and displacement in Darfur and the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile.
Furthermore, the EU leaders need to know that the regime of the NCP had established detention centers in eastern Sudan to imprison young people fleeing poverty, repression, forced endless conscription, racism, arbitrary detention and killings. Moreover, the condition of those fleeing their country in search for security and a decent living, but their miserable being in Sudan under Omar al-Bashir has become like the case of the one appealing for help by jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Thus, Genocide with chemical weapons is the last Islamic regime’s achievements in Sudan. But what leads to disgust isthe EU attempt of rapprochement with the genocidal criminal , fugitive from the international justice, Omer Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir, by providing him with financial support forhis final goal andthe plan to annihilate thepeople of Sudan whobecause of them he an outcast around the world likemangy, scabby and chased by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
