JEM forces crush Sudan Armed Forces in Southern Kordofan
A Statement from JEM
Saturday 01/08/2009: JEM regularly sends mobile administrative units entrusted with the engagement with the masses to conduct political debates aiming at cultural, health, peaceful coexistence and finding political solutions to the marginalized in Sudan. While doing so in Southern Kordofan on 01/08/2009 in the areas of Al-Moglad, Babanoosa and Tiboon our gallant forces fell in a planned ambush by the Sudan Armed Forces. After a fierce battle, the heroic forces of JEM crushed the assailants and cleared the area of all government forces.
17 military vehicles were completely destroyed together with uncountable numbers of soldiers either killed or injured. The rest were seen flying away licking their wounds.
JEM reiterate once again that it will continue its mobile administrative units and warns those planning to stand on its way of serious consequences.
JEM call upon all members of the Sudan Armed Forces, Police and Prison forces not to fight against their brothers and instead join the cause of the marginalized and rid the country of the tyranny of the NCP. JEM guarantee the welfare, pensions and lost revenues of those afraid to lose out.
