KHARTOUM (26 June) – A female student from Darfur, who was beaten and seriously wounded in the head described to Radio Dabbanga in its program ‘frankly speaking’ which will be broadcast this evening, the details of what happened on the 10th June. She studied at the Khartoum University. The female student said that she couldn’t go to the University because of fearing harassment and intimidation.
On his part, Abu Gassiem Mohamed Ali Hamuoda, an activist of students human rights of the sons of Darfur, said the attack of female students at Khartoum University set a dangerous precedent. It did not happen before in the history of Sudan that the security forces attacks female students while they were in their dormitories without any crime done.
