Darfurian armed movements on Monday held preliminary talks in Doha under the auspices of international mediator ,Jibril Bassoule. The talks are aimed to bring an end to the region’s long conflict. Government delegation member, Amin Hassan Omer, said the talks completed previous negotiations in Darfur. He confirmed that the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) would participate in the talks together with the group that is working in Libya.
However, JEM has insisted that it would not participate in any multilateral talks. The Humanitarian officer in the movement, Suleiman Jamous, told Miraya FM that they were not aware of any postponement of talks.
